I believe that God has given songwriters the gift of creation that manifests itself in the form of sound and lyrics and that this creation is real; it's truly 'a living thing'.  We have to nurture it to bring it to its final form through prayer and performance.  Continually ask  yourself, what is the message of this song?  What is the song trying to say?  What is the Holy Spirit trying to express?
